HYDE The Ottavia — Nubuck Leather & Silver Fox Fur Jacket in Saddle Wood | Women's Luxury Hooded Jacket

Why We Selected It

Quiet luxury is not about being unnoticed. It is about being unmistakable without asking for attention. The Ottavia embodies that philosophy.

Craftsmanship

Crafted from supple genuine nubuck leather, The Ottavia pairs a beautifully sculpted feminine silhouette with the exceptional volume and natural character of a generous Silver Fox fur-trimmed hood and collar. Rendered in Saddle Wood, a warm tan-brown, the jacket reveals the subtle beauty of nubuck through its velvety texture and soft matte finish. Natural tonal variations give the leather depth, while the rich, earthy palette creates an effortless foundation for an elevated winter wardrobe.

Exceptional leather doesn't always need to shine. Nubuck is prized for precisely the opposite reason — its finely buffed surface creates a soft, velvety hand and distinctive matte appearance. As light moves across the surface, subtle changes in the nap create natural tonal variation and dimension. In The Ottavia's Saddle Wood colorway, those characteristics take on added richness: notes of warm tan, cognac, and saddle brown give the leather a grounded, heritage warmth that feels at home from the mountains to the city.

The Finish

The Silver Fox provides the counterpoint — full, dimensional, and naturally dramatic. Dyed in a natural crystal fox shade, the fur's long guard hairs and layered tones of silver, cream, amber, and taupe frame the face while bringing warmth and unmistakable presence to the otherwise streamlined silhouette. Known for its lush volume, long guard hairs, and soft density, Silver Fox creates a dramatic frame around the face while providing additional warmth for colder conditions. Against the warm Saddle Wood nubuck, the collar's softly warmed palette feels effortlessly cohesive — light fur against golden-brown leather, sharing the same warmth rather than competing with it. An integrated drawstring allows the hood and collar to be adjusted, adding practical functionality to the statement design. Because Silver Fox is a natural material, variations in density, texture, markings, and how the fur takes its color are expected — these differences give every Ottavia subtle individuality.

Styling

The Ottavia moves naturally between alpine environments and sophisticated city dressing. Layer it over fine cashmere or merino knitwear with tailored trousers and leather boots for an elevated winter evening, or pair it with dark denim and a lightweight knit for effortless daytime dressing. The warm Saddle Wood palette works beautifully alongside cream, ivory, camel, chocolate, black, and denim, making The Ottavia a statement jacket that remains remarkably versatile. Its dramatic Silver Fox collar provides enough presence that the rest of the look can remain deliberately simple.

Investment Quality

HYDE's approach to modern luxury begins with an appreciation for exceptional materials, purposeful design, and craftsmanship that can be experienced rather than simply advertised. The Ottavia brings together genuine nubuck leather, genuine Silver Fox fur, a tailored feminine silhouette, and functional winter details in a jacket designed to transcend seasonal trends. No unnecessary excess. No need to chase attention. Just exceptional texture, proportion, and presence.

Care

Nubuck leather requires specialized care to preserve its distinctive velvety texture. Avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain, wet snow, excessive moisture, perfumes, and direct heat. If the jacket becomes damp, allow it to dry naturally at room temperature away from direct heat sources. Do not use conventional smooth-leather polish on nubuck. Store The Ottavia on a substantial hanger in a cool, dry environment with adequate space around the garment so the Silver Fox is not compressed. Professional cleaning by a specialist experienced with nubuck leather and natural fur is recommended.
