The Range Vest carries every material virtue of the Canyon jacket in a silhouette built for layering. Waxy camel cowhide shell, grey shearling double collar, Rustic Napa placket and trim, Italian wool-cashmere lining — the same four-material construction, freed from sleeves. That freedom is the point. The Range Vest works over a heavyweight flannel shirt, under a full coat, or as the outermost layer on a cool autumn day when a jacket would be too much. Craftsmanship

Made in Los Angeles by a three-generation family leather atelier with over four decades of craft behind every seam. The shell is a waxy cowhide — North African skins, double-dyed and drum-finished rather than sprayed, so colour penetrates rather than coats. The first dye layer is lighter; the darker second layer sits over it, and as the surface breaks with wear, the lighter tone beneath creates a natural distressed character that no two vests develop identically. A slight oiled finish gives the surface its signature waxy feel — weather-resistant and deeply distinctive. Six to seven skins are hand-matched per garment. Every seam sewn at exactly ten stitches per inch. The entire finished garment pressed.

The materials

The double collar is lined in grey shearling for warmth at the neck — natural insulation that synthetic alternatives cannot approach. The placket and trim are finished in smooth Napa leather in a warm Rustic tone, framing the waxy camel shell with a lustrous contrast. The interior is lined in an Italian wool and cashmere blend, 95% wool and 5% cashmere — warm without weight, with a soft hand that rewards every time you pull it on. The same construction as the Canyon, scaled to a vest that layers over anything and under everything.

Styling

Layer the Range Vest over a roll-neck or a heavy chambray shirt and let the grey shearling collar do the work. It sits naturally under the Canyon jacket for full mountain protection, or wears alone on the shoulder seasons when a full jacket is unnecessary. The warm camel tone pairs with denim, moleskin, rust, and forest green; the Rustic Napa trim ties it to brown boots and tan accessories. Wear the collar up for warmth or folded down for a cleaner line. The waxy cowhide surface sheds light rain without treatment.
